How to submit a takedown notice
Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL of the dream you're reporting on Show Your Dream
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner (or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner)
Email your notice to dmca@showyourdream.com. We typically respond within 3 business days.
What happens next
- If the notice is complete, we'll remove or disable access to the reported content.
- We'll forward the notice to the user who posted the dream.
- The user can submit a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was in error.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, send a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or San Francisco County, California if outside the U.S.)
Repeat infringers
We terminate accounts that are repeat copyright infringers. We may also terminate single-incident accounts in cases of egregious infringement.
False notices
Submitting a false DMCA notice is a federal offense under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Don't do it.
