What we collect
You provide:
- Dream descriptions (the text or transcribed audio you submit)
- Optional account email when you unlock a paid dream
- Payment metadata via Stripe (we never see your card number)
- Reactions, captions, and remixes you create
We automatically collect:
- A browser fingerprint to rate-limit free dreams
- Basic device, browser, and request metadata
- Aggregate, anonymized analytics via PostHog
- Server logs (for debugging, retained up to 30 days)
Why we collect it
- To render and deliver the dream you asked for
- To enforce daily free limits and prevent abuse
- To process payments and issue refunds
- To improve the product (in aggregate, never to train models on your data)
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted processors to operate the service:
- Supabase — Postgres database and authentication
- Cloudflare R2 — video and thumbnail storage
- Cloudflare Workers — application hosting
- Stripe — payments
- PostHog — privacy-aware product analytics
- Inngest — durable background job execution
- AI video model providers — to render your dream
We share with these processors only what they need to do their job. We never sell your data. We never share dream descriptions or videos for advertising.
AI model training
We do not train AI models on your prompts or dreams. We do not permit our video model providers to train on your inputs through our accounts where the provider offers that opt-out.
How long we keep data
- Dream videos and prompts: until you delete them
- Deleted dreams: purged from storage within 30 days
- Server logs: up to 30 days
- Stripe payment records: retained as required by tax and finance laws (typically 7 years)
Your rights
Depending on where you live (EEA, UK, California, and others) you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@showyourdream.com.
Children
Show Your Dream is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our infrastructure runs primarily in the United States and on Cloudflare's global edge network. If you're outside the US, your data will be transferred and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses where required.
